Nothing frilly or fussy, capture the classic elegance of the ’60s by reintroducing navy blazers, tweed sport jackets, khakis, polo shirts and boat shoes into your casual wardrobe.

Who: Adam Gallagher

The fashion world today just would not be complete without its bloggers. Yes, there’s plenty out there for us girls, but fear no more dear gents, we’ve got a gem for you. Let the style of this twenty something, New York hailing force behind I AM GALLA be something to aspire to.

What: As winter is fast approaching here in the Southern hemisphere (it will come soon, promise), we look to the North for cold weather inspiration. Add depth to sometimes bland winter ensembles by playing with different textures and colour combinations. What can seem like clashes on the surface- shades of purple, double denim- can really pop with the right layers. Make knits, vests, and flannel your new best friends if you haven’t already, and let the results surprise you.

Who: Nicole Richie

As one of the most prominent fashion icons of our generation, Nicole Richie rose to recognition as Paris Hilton’s other half during her time on The Simple Life. She’s now a mentor on NBC’s Fashion Star and wife to Joel Madden.

What: Though her star in the fashion universe (pun not intended) has been fading, Nicole made a triumphant return during her time across the pond for Paris Fashion Week. Of special note is her appearance in Anthony Vaccarello at the CR Fashion Book Party, looking quite the monochromatic vision. Accessories were kept to a simple set of contrasting stack bangles, complementing her Valentino clutch and pointed suede Jimmy Choos. Her slicked back ‘do only amped up the sophistication and all we can say is: Welcome back, Nicole.

Makeup-less models from their first castings- a fascinating set of polaroids from Douglas Perrett’s “Wild Things”. Oh, how far they’ve come.

Who: Kate Bosworth

If you don’t know her for those killer mismatched eyes, you may have seen her around as the new face of UK fashion street chain TopShop. Remember her crooning ‘Winter Wonderland' this past Christmas?

What: As Spring and Autumn begin to kick in all over the world and wardrobes ride the in-between, we’re all for finding that perfect balance- a look that’s not too heavy, not too light. Kate definitely hits the nail on the head in a two-tone J.W Anderson for TopShop denim shirt, paired with this Floral Jacquard Skirt and Proenza Schouler PS1 clutch. Some added height in the form of wedged sneakers gives the look a sporty edge that is transeasonal and versatile, another perfect everyday staple to take you from day to night.

Who: Harry Styles

One Direction’s flirtatious, curly-haired heartthrob and infamous ex-boyfriend of Taylor Swift. Need we say more?

What: He may be the baby of the group, but Harry’s casual style often possesses a distinct debonair touch amongst the array of skinny jeans and Converse shoes. He can often be seen in tuxedo or tweed blazers, usually over a casual crew-neck; or on more formal occasions, a simple button-down. Pocket squares and playful accessories give his looks the finishing touch, evoking the perfect English-schoolboy-meets-prepster vibe.

Who: Jennifer Lawrence

A recent Oscar-winning actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence is possibly the world’s most endearing Hollywood starlet. With responses like these, it’s kind of an instinctual reaction to fall in love with her.

Just like her on-screen roles, JLaw’s personal style is deliciously colourful- sweet one minute, tough and sexy the next. Vanity Fair seems to have this combination down-pat while styling Jen for their February 2013 cover story. Get the look with this long sleeve crop tee from TopShop, leopard print Stella McCartney trousers and patent stilettos by Sergio Rossi. Sweeten things up with a satin bow headband, and you’re the perfect 50’s doll!

Who: Taylor Swift

It’s difficult to come across someone who hasn’t heard of Taylor Swift. Whether you know her for her music or dating habits, ultimately, it’s hard to deny her success.

What: Although she’s been recently scrutinised for questionable Grammy award show behaviour , Taylor always puts her best foot forward on the red carpet. Her often neutral colour choices are balanced with a touch of flair in the form of a low box neckline or lace bodice. Hair is mostly kept simple, be it with Grecian-like up-dos or straightened. And for those who thought the girly-girl was here to stay, cast your eyes over to that white J.Mendel pantsuit.
